Maxima’s MTT22 Thermostatic Steam Traps work on the principle of expansion and contraction of a special capsule on the temperature difference, leading to opening and closing of the steam trap. During start up or condensate collection, the thermostatic capsule gets contracted and the seat opens, ensuring that the air and condensate gets discharged from the steam trap.

As soon as the steam enters the trap, the thermostatic capsule expands, closing the seat and ensuring zero steam leak from the steam trap. These traps are widely used for tracing applications in the oil & gas industry for keeping the lines warm. These traps are available in SS 304 construction and also in forged A105 material.
